Okay so I got into Revelle college and now I am freaking out. I have had this mentality and conscious built into me that this college will rip you apart. It supposedly is the hardest to graduate from, has the most graduation requirements and requires the most mental perseverance out of all colleges in UCSD. I’m scared. I don’t know if I will be prepared. I know I’ll try my best and sacrifice my time, but will it be enough? I hope so. I’m just scared because I have cruised through high school and I don’t know if I am ready for the hardest college at UCSD. Uh oh. My life is about to change. I gotta start letting go of my old life and start focusing on my career and future. It really is a scary thought. I am lucky to have such a strong support system, but I’m afraid to let them down. I’ve been so successful thus far in my activities, and I don’t want to fuck up. I will be devoting most of my time to studying now. I just hope I can settle in and enjoy college as how I thought it would be. I knew I had I study but I still want to have fun and party. But will I be able to with all these requirements to fulfill. Even my family friend who attends Revelle says I will regret choosing this college. Not very helpful for my state of mind. I’m scared. I don’t know what will happen. I hope for the best and my fate is in my own hands. I love all of you in my life and now I just scared I won’t be the same Alec. I can’t be so playful or childish anymore. I will definitely try to be. Hopefully I can get through the first week, and I’ll be okay. I really am just scared and nervous, because my future is about to give me a slap in the face. Wish me luck!
Yesterday at the zoo:
- Woke up at 6:30 )’:
- Went straight to the monkey exhibit.
- Instantly mesmerized by the orangutangs. Orangutangs are my favorite animals as of yesterday.
- Bonobo monkeys are freaking hilarious and gorillas know how to pose.
- Le hippo trail…
- Hearing a polar bear roar.
- There are such things as red pandas. Also, panda poop = paper.
- We found Timon and Pumbaa!
- Otters and little monkeys get along.
- It was really cool to see how the zoo takes baby cheetahs and puppies and have them grow up together. The fact that the cheetah has a bestfriend in a dog was really amazing to see.
- The fact that we looked for the koalas and walked right past them.
- My first time on the skyfari! Aw yeah, aw yeah.
- Alec and I watched an elephant get some sort of pimple/wart/blister popped…
- We gots our bracelets! YOLO.
- Left the zoo and went to Horton Plaza down town.
- Walked to Urban Outfitters and got stuffs on sail. Lol, Alec and his obsession with hats.
- Went to the mall. Got some things at Forever 21 and then ate at Super Fries. Om nom.
- Came back to Otay and watched the Lorax. :’D Twas super cute.
- I love Orangutangs.
- Broke my milkshake Monday virginity. When the guy asked if I wanted any sauce, I was so confused. Then he told me it came with free nuggets. Where has this been my entire life?
- I was so tired after a great day with Alec. I came home, showered, and knocked out.
